Body Jewelry and me

I am not one of those people who will go around in the market looking for bodyjewelry. I am also not one of those people who would stop by every street shop selling it. I just have one piercing done in my entire body and that is my ears. Then if you are wondering how I am associated with body jewelry, then I supply it, in fact I even own a small shop of my own where people come to get their bodies pierced.

I know it is startling for many that I don’t have a tongue ring or a nose ring or even a belly ring myself even though I have the best of options to choose from. I know I am aware of the latest trends and fashion and I know the best prices and I get the best quality. Still, somehow I have never been able to bring myself to the point where I can actually say that I can get my belly or my nose or my tongue pierced.

I have been in this business for over two years now and now may be I have finally gathered some courage that I want to finally make an attempt at belly piercing. Here is what changed my mind. It was only yesterday that three girls walked into my small store and they were so sure that they will walk out only when they have their flat bellies pierced. The confidence that the pain (however more or less it is) is worth it gave me confidence as well.

Once I saw the belly rings sticking to their navels, I knew that people would definitely turn their heads in their direction. I knew I had added prettiness to their beauty. I knew they had an extra charm which I didn’t. Body jewelry is not just about fashion or style any more. Now I know it’s much more than that.
